Emphysematous cystitis is an uncommon condition which is characterized by gas collection within the bladder wall and lumen due to gas forming organisms. Persons with diabetes, neurogenic bladder and chronic urinary infection are predisposed to
the
disease. We report a case of emphysematous cystitis owing to E. coli in a diabetic woman.
